Taking a break from my usual habit of griping, complaining, whining, and generally criticizing the world in general…I want to take this piece and simply look around us. What we carry with us from yesterday, what is going on today, and the hopes we will take into the future. Hey…you may not like the text, but you will surely appreciate the good music.
I pose the question: Which
Came First…the “pSAKI” or the “cracked EGG”?
It really is a shame to break up such a matched pair as Jen Psaki
and Joe Biden. The colorful sky in their
fantastical universe that no one else seems to see…Their shameless ability to
detach truth from reality and match it with time-warping memory that confounds
the mind…Their perfectly illogical form of logic in which no adverse consequences
could ever flow from a liberal notion…and of course their condescending coup
de gras…the unflinching certitude that all things Democrat retain a wisdom
and nobility that exists multiple planes above any concepts ever envisioned by Republicans. But you know…I somehow suspect we are about
to discover that once Circle Back cycles over to MSNBC and occupies a new tent
with her circus, Ms. Jean-Pierre will don the top hat handed over to her by Jen
and continue barking the blarney delivered to her by the Big Top Ringleaders in
the White House.

Let us enjoy some exit
music for Jen Psaki….

Of course, there remains more
than two and half years in the Biden Administration. Given what we have witnessed over the first
third of it, what should we expect from here on out? Even if the mid-term elections in November
swing all or one side of Congress back to Republicans, there is no reason to
expect that Joe Biden and his Executive Branch of liberal looney tunes won’t
continue their mad dash towards the steep cliff’s edge that they are dragging
this nation towards.

The tunes for this
section deal with what some of us suspected was headed our way with Biden and
Company, what we are now witnessing today, and what fears lie in the recesses
of our minds regarding what is headed our way.

Will the frustrations,
uncertainties, and anger of our citizenry lead us to sweeping political changes
this November? In real terms, can we
be so certain that a Republican Congress will be a marked improvement over a
Democrat Congress? Can we just find
some way…or someone…to lead us in a direction where we are FOR something and
not AGAINST everything?

How about some music reflecting the
state of American affairs that we deal with on a daily basis? The struggles to make sense out of all the madness
that has permeated our culture and society.
Is it true that the darkest hour is just before the dawn?

The whole issue of
abortion and the leaked SCOTUS draft relating to Dobbs has ripped the scab off
of a festering wound on America’s soul. How
tragic is it that a subject as jarring as abortion is now viewed mainly as a tool for
political advantage? Have we as a people
lost some much honor and respect for each other that we have dispensed with all
aspects of civility? I may be proven
terribly mistaken, but I expect that abortion will not be one of the driving
forces behind this year’s mid-term election results.
There are so many
haunting lyrics about the life and times that lie ahead for us, how we tend to obtain
our information that forms those decisions and directions, how our ancestry and
family histories impact our lives, and how our whimsical memories of the past continue to
remain with us as we continue onward with our journeys.

It is not an
overstatement to suggest that our country is at a crossroads in its
existence. The validity of our
governmental blueprint…our Constitution…is being seriously debated
on a weekly basis, with a significant portion of our people favoring either a total
dismantlement of it or rendering massive surgery that will make the surviving (hopefully)
product unrecognizable.

Never forget the greatest
memories from your youth. Cling to those
good times where living was a celebration of life. It can happen again.

Never forget the people
who have shaped the person you are.
There are the ones who picked us up when we fell, kicked us when we were
down, and those who somehow loved us unfailingly even when we did not deserve
it.

In spite of our trials
and tribulations, our fractured political system, and the ethical/moral decay
being accelerated by aspects of wokeness…we live in the greatest country on
this planet. If you don’t believe that, just
get out there in it and look around a bit.
