It’s All Out There

We live in a world of double-edged swords and mixed blessings; foremost amongst them is the fact that a relative universe of information is available to each and every one of us.  The internet has truly uncorked the eternal bottle of wisdom that had once been available to the few who had keys to the wine cellar.  What do we do with this new-found privilege?  Do we embrace EMPOWERMENT or do we become SHEEP?

There is no excuse for being uninformed.  There is no excuse for being narrow or close-minded when there are so many intelligent writers on either side of most arguments.  So pull up your anchors, float around a bit, and see where the currents might take you….

Equality, equal opportunity, respect for all, and the inherent right to dignity…these are simple principles and do not need to be over thought nor reinvented.  They stand well on their own; as in C..O..N..S..T..I..T..U..T..I..O..N.

And here are the effects of over thinking and reinvention…

We have allowed idealism and unrealistic fantasies to drive many of our national institutions in directions that are far from their fundamental purposes.  A prime example is national education…

One Big Beautiful Bill!  If only it were that simple.  Congressional Republicans are just like Congressional Democrats; they spend too much money.  Many of us might prefer their spending priorities, but that does not change the fact that they are fiscal cowards and simply refuse to face the harsh reality of federal deficits and debt.

Foreign policy and national defense…Is there anyone out there who cannot accept the fact that the Biden Administration left dumpster fires in these areas?  What America has been doing for the last couple of decades IS NOT WORKING.  Let’s give the Trump Administration a chance to try something different and turn this thing around.

Do we have a conservative majority on the Supreme Court of the United States or…do we have a 3-judge liberal bloc, a 3-judge conservative bloc, and a 3-judge “which way is the wind blowing at the moment” bloc?  Over the next year, I suspect we will find the answer to that question.

There were many disturbing things about the mental capacity of Joe Biden and his ability to serve as president.  To me, the most disturbing of all was not the effort to hide his mental challenges; it was the fact that some “unidentified person or persons” were actually serving as our unelected president.  That mystery needs to be solved.

We are witnessing a remarkable contrast in governing between the past Biden Administration and the current Trump Administration.  The difference in approach…and hopefully, results…is nothing short of refreshing.
