I suppose the biggest story making the rounds these days concerns the “improper handling” of classified documents. It’s pretty clear that at least one ex-President and one current President are guilty of the “handling” part. The parts that are not clear are probably the most important ones; those being “what” is in the documents and “who else” has been looking at them. At this point, the only certain thing is that the Department of Justice (DOJ) and its posse are about the only ones looking at them. Time will (or not…) reveal the mysteries.

The battle for the
future…the struggle for the minds of our youth who will mold that future…is
fully engaged. It is taking place in our
educational system from “pre-K” all the way through “advanced
degrees”. And if you live in a rural
area of America and think that the liberal, woke mania is not present in your
school system, you are naïve to the point of senility.

The onset of harsh
reality is now settling over the entire climate change/green
energy/electric vehicle revolution. A lot of people, many of them powerful and
influential, have been leading the public off a high cliff with the promise of
cheap, clean, plentiful energy schemes that exist only in their green-fevered
minds. As the logistical nightmares of
windfarms, solar panel fields, and electric transportation come more into
focus, many are beginning to come to grips with a more cautious and deliberate
approach to the very real and global energy crisis. It is going to be painful…but it going to
work itself out.

This is one of the
clearest instances of gross government over-reach I have ever seen and the same
battle in being waged in almost every, single, government department/agency
today: https://reason.com/video/2023/01/10/the-supreme-court-case-that-could-upend-the-clean-water-act/
Government is supposed to
be “by the people”. Far too much
of our government today is “after the people”. Every day brings new revelation of government
corruption, abuse, and mismanagement. Whether
they be Democrat Presidents/Administrations or Republican
Presidents/Administrations; our elected…and unelected…government
officials have been creeping their missions far beyond anything that was ever
envisioned in our Constitution. Congress
is going to have to reassert itself as a co-equal branch of government or it
runs the very real possibility of becoming either irrelevant or subservient to Executive
Branch domination.
There are numerous
individuals in both national parties today that believe they should be running
not only our country, but also our private lives. They are smart, they are powerful, and they
have unlimited resources. They must
be reined in. This subversion of our
system is not confined to any one area.
It touches all aspects of our lives through taxes, privacy,
elections…essentially all aspects of our personal liberties. If we as a people do not stand up and defend
these rights, we will lose them.

Fiscal responsibility…What? In this government? Democrats are shameless;
they spend and spend and want more of your tax dollars to spend some more. Republicans, when they are in a minority
status, bitch and moan about the deficit and the national debt. But…when they are in the majority status,
they spend just like Democrats. The only
difference is that they spend on their priorities. Government mismanagement is atrocious. The best argument for a smaller government is
the simple fact that they would have less opportunity to mismanage.
