There is an old saying… “Spring has sprung, Fall has fell, Summer’s here, And it’s hot as hell”. That may be where we are headed this year…weather-wise and otherwise. But for now, we will focus on what is as opposed to what might be. Given the crazy, mixed-up world that is swirling all around us, who knows what the future holds?
Spring
in my part of Kentucky is off to a fine start.
Seed planters are running up and down the road, the first hay crop is
off to a very fine start, pastures are thick and healthy, gardens are either
well-started or in the ground, and nature in general seems to be a step or two
ahead of a normal growing season. Cattle
prices remain at high levels that we have not seen in quite some time, and
spring calves are hitting the ground like raindrops in a springtime
thunderstorm. It is a busy time in rural
America…and it is a time where you don’t have look far to completely realize
the glory of our Lord in the creation of such a wonderful place. For all the troubles, both real and imagined,
that we are dealing with (as linked below)…life
remains precious, vital, and full of promise.
If our faith remains constant, there is nothing ahead that we cannot
overcome.
Now…let’s
consider some of those things that must be overcome…
Our
national education system is the
ground where the seeds of our future are planted. Parents nurture those seeds through sprouting
and early maturity, and then they turn them over to the tenders that manage
their growth through full maturity.
Those tenders are the schools and teachers that comprise our educational
institutions and that is where our system has
failed us…and is failing us. No underlying problem in our nation is more
critical than the crisis that exists in education. These kids are literally the hopes and dreams
of our nation and a big part of the planet’s future. What could be more important than raising
them with the adequate skills and knowledge to fulfill their coming roles? Any discussion of education today must be put
in the context of the ongoing upheaval on America’s college campuses. Take note…these
are the people for whom the Biden Administration wants YOU, the American taxpayers, to pay off student loans.

There
was moment during the Trump Administration when our nation was a heartbeat away
from enacting sweeping immigration law reform.
The poisonous partisan environment that pervaded that Trump term
snatched away that kernel of promise and then Joe Biden was elected
president. Since that time, national immigration policy has become
a travesty and…sadly…a tragedy. It is,
quite simply stated…stupid, stupid,
stupid. The seeds and effects of
this malfeasance will be with our nation for generations to come…and it continues unabated.

The
Biden Administration is a ship of fools, and many of those fools are running (and ruining) our national economy. Once
again…I make the point that the Democrat Party has one overriding principle for
governing: Tax and spend. For every problem, the solution is to spend money. The more problems we have, the more money we
need to spend. They therefore find/create more problems. How do we get more money? Increase
taxes to create more revenue to partially
cover that spending. Increase budget deficits…which they then
use to support those tax increases. Increase the size of government to
administer the spending…then keep the whole foolish economic model running
by having the economy become anemic due to the medicine. This is where we are.

It
cannot be repeated often enough that when Joe Biden entered into the
presidency, our nation was EXPORTING
energy…we were energy independent for the first time in decades. The Biden Administration has since then sabotaged
our nation’s energy industry with
their idiotic notions contained in the Green New Deal foolishness. It is not a stretch to imagine a day in the
future when a second Biden Administration is in power and all of us folks in
rural America are huddled around our wood stoves in the dead of winter. What
about those folks in urban areas who don’t have wood stoves?
Here is the common sense approach
to our energy needs: https://amgreatness.com/2024/04/24/the-case-for-an-inclusive-energy-strategy/
The
first and only solution to any of our problems, real or imagined, by the Biden Administration
is more spending, more government, and more regulation. It is an unabashed
pursuit of the ultimate nanny state and oftentimes falls not very short of
being outright socialism. It is a future
built on hopes, wishes, rainbows, and unicorns. It is fraught with peril.

With
a presidential election rapidly
approaching in November, one has to wonder if the American citizenry is
sufficiently aware of the consequences contained within their forthcoming
vote.

Beware this fact: Democrats have nothing
positive to run on in the upcoming national elections. They will shove all of their chips to the
center of the table and seek to politicize the issue of abortion to their
benefit: https://thefederalist.com/2024/05/03/every-state-facing-deceptive-unlimited-abortion-ballot-measures-this-november/

The thorough and pervasive
politicizing of our government by the Biden Administration is among the most
damaging of its actions. It
is an ongoing cancer that will not be solved by flushing out the corrupted
officials put in place by Joe Biden. The
seeds of this partisan approach to the administration of our government will be
with us for generations and is a curse upon our very society. The naked abuse of our justice system by the
current Department of Justice and other federal agencies threatens not only our
government, but also our essential and fundamental liberties bequeathed to us
by our Constitution.

Is anyone else astounded by the
obvious fact that while Donald Trump is being legally (but not necessarily ethically)
prosecuted by the Biden Administration DOJ/Democrat Party/Liberal-Progressive
Cabal for election interference…that very prosecution is a plain and simple
interference in our national election process?

door…some cherries on top of the sundae.

And finally…a very timely quote
from a wise man, John Adams:
“There
is nothing which I dread so much as a division of the republic into two great
parties, each arranged under its leader, and concerting measures in opposition
to each other. This, in my humble apprehension, is to be dreaded as the
greatest political evil under our Constitution.”
