Stirring the Pot and Other Unscrupulous Journalistic Pursuits

Pending appeal, the Chauvin trial is in the rear view mirror.  Specifically, we have now moved on to teen knife fights; but more generally, many of us are reflecting on exactly what is happening to our nation in terms of race relations and law enforcement.  Speaking of knife fights and media coverage...once again, the Babylon Bee scores with this bit of satire: https://babylonbee.com/news/nbc-edits-footage-of-michael-myers-to-make-it-look-like-hes-handing-flowers-to-townspeople

With the irresponsible and unethical mainstream media stoking the fires that are being frequently set by the Biden Administration and their legion of partisan-appointed idiots, we appear to moving from one ginned-up race-related atrocity to the next.  Anything and everything is apparently somehow motivated or caused by racial injustice or bigotry.  What has brought us to this point?

Here is a very interesting perspective by Michael Barone.  Mr. Barone is typically too complex for me to follow, but I find this piece to be very revealing and timely: http://jewishworldreview.com/michael/barone042321.php3

There are so very many misperceptions being driven by so very many agenda-driven interests these days that it is nigh on impossible to ascertain the veracity of any current event.  For instance, here are some numbers that many folks will find quite surprising: https://justthenews.com/nation/crime/survey-show-blacks-wildly-overestimate-frequency-police-fatally-shooting-young-black

And lest you believe that the Just the News article is somehow biased, let us examine what the Department of Justice has to say about the subject: https://www.cnsnews.com/article/national/michael-w-chapman/doj-report-black-victims-violent-crime-703-offenders-are-fellow

It is nothing short of breathtaking how the mainstream media will brazenly misrepresent news in a fashion that supports their own personal beliefs; beliefs that are about 99 percent liberal in nature.  And even more astonishing is the fact that even while President Trump was in office, his own Department of Justice was working against him.  Now most of the blame for this “traitor in the midst” situation lay at the feet of Trump.  He obviously tolerated far too many people in his Administration that, shall we say…did not agree with his policies.  For all my criticisms of President Biden, I will give him this: he did not hesitate to rid his Administration of the Trump leftovers and put his own people (unfortunately, mostly raving ideologues) in positions of authority and responsibility.  That, my friends, is how you implement your policies.

But back to Trump’s tenure, it is fascinating to note exactly who amongst the Trump appointees were retained by Biden.  Pay attention to the few that he decided to keep: https://www.cnbc.com/2021/01/21/biden-will-keep-christopher-wray-as-fbi-director-white-house-source-says.html .   Also consider the reasons why he might retain some of the Trump appointees:  https://www.bizpacreview.com/2021/04/23/scalise-slams-fbis-disturbing-designation-congressional-shooting-was-suicide-by-cop-he-went-to-kill-republicans-1064290/ . Do you suppose Trump had a fox in his henhouse?

To this handful of Trump officials that Biden is holding over, he is of course adding new faces to his crowd.  Not only are his new faces the equivalent of typical “big-footed, lip-sticked, red-nosed” clowns; but many of them are bald-faced and shameless corrupt individuals pursuing personal gain at the expense of the American taxpayer.  Consider this one for a moment: https://nypost.com/2021/04/22/are-conflicts-of-interest-ok-as-long-as-everythings-green/

Why do you suppose the Biden Administration is so keen on their “green energy” mania?  Lest we fall into the trap set by Biden’s “wind turbines, solar panels, rainbows and unicorns” rhetoric, we can only hope that someone, somewhere in his circus has enough sense to take a deep breath and consider how things function in the real world: https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2021/04/why-wind-and-solar-energy-are-doomed-to-failure.php

Have you ever wondered why it is that the overwhelming majority of green energy company owners are Democrats?  Or why the bulk of federal taxpayer energy subsidies flow to these particular companies.  As I have mentioned before, don’t be misled by what Biden, the Democrats, the liberal community, and the mainstream media say or report; simply read what they propose to do:  https://www.congress.gov/116/bills/hres109/BILLS-116hres109ih.pdf

It is agonizingly clear to anyone paying attention that the Democratic Party is doing every…single…thing within its power to capitalize on their slender House majority, their tenuous Senate control, and their hand puppet in the White House in an effort to implement as much liberal lunacy as quickly as possible.

Not a week goes by without some type of mystifying new policy initiative being bandied about through Executive Order or Legislative Action.  Transgender rights, court packing, critical race theory, rampant police reform, open borders, WDC statehood…where or when or how or what will it all lead us to?  One thing is for certain: Once they got in power, the Democrats are doing everything they can to stay in power.  Consider how they would like to conduct national elections in the future: https://amgreatness.com/2021/04/16/h-r-1-is-the-pillow-over-the-face-of-federalism/

Now consider how they have conducted elections in the recent past: https://amgreatness.com/2021/04/19/democrats-are-cheaters/

All voters benefit from open, honest, and accountable elections.  The recent Georgia election reform action should serve as a model for election integrity concerns moving forward.  Read it and decide for yourself: https://www.legis.ga.gov/api/legislation/document/20212022/201121
